The PTE test certificate is valid in almost every country, including Australia, USA, UK, Ireland, Canada, New Zealand, France, Germany, Spain, and Italy. You can apply for a study or work visa in these countries after acquiring a specific score on the PTE exam.

The PTE Academic certificate loses its validation two years after the announcement of results. A student wishing to prove their eligibility after that will have to take the exam again. However, the minimum score requirement depends on the institutional requirements.

The common misconception states that IELTS is easier than PTE. However, both IELTS and PTE are no different in terms of difficulty level. The only difference between the two tests is that you can attempt IELTS online and offline, whereas PTE is available online only.

A single attempt at the PTE exam takes 3 hours approximately. The test material comprises three portions, namely Speaking & Writing, Reading, and Listening. The first portion takes 54 – 67 minutes to administer, whereas the remaining two portions require 29 – 30 minutes and 30 – 43 minutes, respectively.
